Our mission
We believe the best projects start with clarity. That means photos, documentation and straightforward answers before any work begins. When a repair is the smarter move, we say so. When a replacement is truly due, we show you exactly why, in writing.
Almost everything that ends a roof is invisible from the ground. Flashing separating at a chimney, nail pops, granule loss, a soft patch of decking, a skylight seal starting to go. So we go up and photograph all of it, and you get the report either way. Nobody will lean on you to book work off the back of it.
No pressure. No surprises. Just strong results, from local crews working out of real offices in Princeton and Warren, in an industry where trust has to be earned door by door.
Our own crews, in our own trucks
We do not subcontract. The people who quote your roof are the people who turn up to do it, which is how the detailing stays the same from tear off to the last ridge cap. It also means one company is answerable for the result, instead of a chain of them pointing at each other.
We are an Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Preferred Contractor, the certification that lets us put a factory backed warranty of up to 50 years on the whole system, our workmanship included. And we are a licensed and insured New Jersey contractor, Home Improvement Contractor licence #13VH11268000, a number you can check yourself on the state register.
Our crews live in these towns. They know what a nor’easter does to a west facing slope off Route 206, and what a January of freeze and thaw does to a valley that was never flashed properly.

Those twenty years are not the company’s age. They are our owner’s. Mauricio Saenz has spent more than twenty years on New Jersey roofs, years of it on other roofing companies’ crews before Skylight Roofing & Restoration existed. These are his photographs, off the page of a family album.

What you can expect from us
Six things we commit to before we have quoted you anything. They hold whether the job is a pipe boot or a whole roof.
The inspection and the report are free
We look at the whole roof system, photograph what we find, and write it up in plain language. The report is yours to keep whether or not you hire us. Use it for a second opinion, or send it straight to your insurer.
We will tell you not to buy a roof
Plenty of roofs that get called finished can be repaired and serve for years more. When a repair is the smarter move that is what we put in writing, even though it is the smaller job for us.
Your deductible is your deductible
We will never offer to absorb it. Hiding a deductible means inflating the claim, which is fraud, and it is your name on that claim as well as ours. Be careful with any roofer who offers.
An active leak jumps the queue
Storm damage, a limb through the roof, water coming through a ceiling: those jump the queue, and we read messages seven days a week. We stop the water first, then do the permanent repair once the roof is dry enough to do properly.
We meet the adjuster on the roof
We photograph the damage, put the scope in writing, and can be there for the inspection so everyone is discussing the same roof. What we will not do is tell you that you have a claim when you do not.
