The roofing company your neighbors keep recommending. We’re two brothers who run our own crews and work out of two offices nearby. Twenty years of New Jersey roofs behind every quote. Ask for an estimate and we’ll come out, take photos, and put a real number in writing. It costs you nothing.

Who we are
Skylight Roofing & Restoration started in Central Jersey and never left. Our closest office sits minutes from Montgomery, just over the township line, and our crews live in these towns. We have roofed and repaired more than 500 homes around here, across Montgomery, Belle Mead, Skillman, Blawenburg, Harlingen and the towns next door. Walk down almost any street here and there is a good chance one of your neighbors is standing under a roof we put on.
Two offices you can walk into: one a short drive from Montgomery, one in Warren. Storm chasers work a town for a season and move on. We are still here months after the job is done, and if something needs a second look we are down the road, not in another state.
What wears a roof out here is freeze and thaw prying small cracks open, then ice dams at the cold eaves. We build for it with superior materials: ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys, and ventilation that stops dams forming.
The manufacturer certification that lets us put a factory backed warranty of up to 50 years on the whole system, covering our expert craftsmanship as well as the materials. Owens Corning only extends it to contractors it has vetted.
NJ Home Improvement Contractor licence #13VH11268000, checkable on the state register. Insured means general liability and workers compensation both, so someone hurt on your roof does not become a claim on your home insurance. Ask any roofer for theirs before you let them up there.
An active leak, storm damage, a limb through the roof: those jump the queue, ahead of the quotes and the checkups. We read messages seven days a week, and a person answers the phone Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, with an automated assistant taking your details outside those hours. Water first, the permanent repair once the roof is dry and safe to work on properly.
We photograph the damage, meet the adjuster on the roof, and offer financing on any size of project. You get honest recommendations either way, including when we think you do not have a claim.
We work on the 1990s colonials off Route 206 and on farmhouses under the Sourland ridge, and we treat both the same way. We show up when we say we will, and we will tell you plainly when you do not need a new roof yet.

Full system replacements with Owens Corning Duration shingles: underlayment, ice and water protection, flashing and ventilation, not just a new shingle field.
How a replacement worksLeaks, failed flashing and wind lifted shingles, traced to where the water actually gets in. Most roofs we are called to condemn turn out to need a repair, not a replacement.
Roof repair in NJInstallation, replacement and leak repair, including VELUX with solar blinds. Skylights installed by roofers, so the flashing is part of the roof, not an afterthought.
Skylight servicesMost roofs we inspect do not need replacing yet. We put that in writing, and we are the ones you call when it truly does.
How it works
1
Pick a time online or call. We show up when we said we would, from a local office, not a storm chasing van.
2
Shingles, flashing, valleys, vents, skylights and attic ventilation, photographed and assessed as a system, not a quick glance from a ladder.
3
A photo report with one clear recommendation and an itemized quote if work makes sense. You decide on your own schedule.

These guys are the most professional contractors we've ever dealt with. After we noticed a leak on our 30+ year old skylights, my husband did some research and found these guys. They came within a day to review the job and provide a quote for the pair of skylights in our bathroom. It was reasonably priced for quality Velux windows, and a comprehensive folder with all certifications and informational documentations were provided to help us make our decision. It was an easy one. The plan was for Monday, but it snowed the day before. They came out regardless, reviewed the conditions of the roof, and advised it was probably a no go due to safety concerns. No worries, we decided for Thursday. The team of 2 came right on time, and completed both jobs within 2.5 hours. They took the time to put up plastic coverings on both our bathrooms and put down pathways to not dirty on homes. They replaced both windows and surrounding roofing area, and the finished installs looked flawless. The next day it rained quite a bit, but no more leaks! Plus the updated remote shades worked very nicely. We are very happy and would recommend this team to anyone looking for updated skylight!

I had the skylight in my bathroom replaced by Skylight Roofing & Restoration. From the start, Carlos provided detailed information on what the job entailed and kept in touch with me to schedule the replacement and answer questions that came up along the way. Overall a very positive experience. I would, without hesitation, recommend Carlos and his team. Sankar

I compared skylight prices with several vendors, and this company truly stood out. Not only were their prices very competitive, but the owner also took the time to thoroughly explain the products and assess exactly what my home needed. I really appreciated that he focused on doing the right job rather than pushing me into any unnecessary services. The installation itself was excellent. They finished a large roof project in just one day, and the craftsmanship was beautiful. After completing the work, the team carefully checked and cleaned up all the nails to ensure there were no hazards left around the house — a level of attention to detail that is rare these days. Overall, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

We had been discussing getting a new roof for some time but were overwhelmed with the enormity of the project and finding a reputable company. After our neighbors used Skylight and raved about the experience, we signed with them as well. Carlos fully explained what the installation would entail and got to work within a few days. His team was so professional and Carlos was on site the entire time- letting us know what was happening at every step. He also sent photos and videos via his drone ( every few hours)so we could see all the work in progress! We couldn’t be happier with the results. The team also left our yard and driveway spotless which after ripping off our existing roof and replacing the entirety- was extremely impressive. We would highly recommend Skylight!

Having a roof that was 20+ years old, we were in the market for a new one ASAP. After meeting with Carlos, we knew right away this was the company that we wanted to go with. He explained the process in detail and was extremely informative. He was able to schedule us within a week and we couldn’t be happier. With his team’s arrival and set up, the updates throughout, and the clean up- everything went better than we expected. If you’re looking to replace your roof or have any issues at all, Skylight Roofing is the company to go with!

This is our second experience using Skylight Roofing & Restoration and we continue to be very pleased. Mauricio provided us with an estimate for our master bathroom skylight replacement. He was prompt, courteous & professional. Orlando, Onix, & Chris arrived for the installation. They arrived on time and did an outstanding job. Orlando explained the steps involved with the installation and answered all my questions. Karla also needs to be commended for her friendly & courteous customer service. To all at Skylight Roofing, Bravo for a job well done!

I had 1 Skylight that I needed to replace, and then ended up replacing both after inspecting them as they were almost 20 years old. Mauricio came and looked at the job, and got back to me quickly with a quote. Scheduled the job, and the guys came on time, and got the job done quickly. They did a great job, cleaned up everything when they were done, and I couldn't be happier with my experience.

These folks live up to their solid reputation. I shopped around before deciding to hire them. The project i had in mind I knew was small but fairly complicated. They were very upfront in great detail about the specific work to be done and their pricing was definitely competitive. They won me over with scheduling the job asap. Then followed up with me after the install, following the first rain and then again the following season after the first snow. I was very well pleased by that extra show of care. Carlos, their boss returned periodically to check the progress of the work. He came off as very sincere and has been in touch since just to wish us a happy and healthy new year. During the install, the roofers were respectful of the neighborhood as well as our property and friendly. God bless those fellas and their families for doing their work with integrity and dedication.

I needed a full roof replacement and got quotes from 5 area companies. Carlos was the most helpful and straightforward in the estimating process. He answered all my questions, explained the products and options well and was excellent about communicating as I selected a vendor. Skylight has a competitive price- not the lowest but the total cost was one I felt very comfortable with after working with Carlos. The day of the roof install went great. The team showed up in time and prepped well and got the job done in a long day. The new roof looks great and I am Happy I have a durable long lasting product. I can recommend Carlos and Skylight Roofing for further work. I especially liked the drone footage updates of the process.

I cannot say enough about Orlando and Skylight Roofing and Restoration. After filling out, required information to schedule an estimate,Orlando got back to me immediately regarding setting up an appointment. That day He had performed an analysis of our roof and quickly arranged an in-person meeting to discuss the details of the contract. We met on Friday and he scheduled the work that Monday. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. His staff are dedicated, thorough, snd incredibly hard-working. The job was completed in two days, with his staff working for almost 13 hours a day; and they did an extraordinary job. I was surprised after day one when I came home and I saw his folks working on my little shed in the backyard. Orlando actually had them replace my shed roof so it would match the roof of my house without an extra charge! All four of my skylights were replaced. There was not any evidence of this inside the house. It was immaculate. Orlando and his staff were organized and efficient. After the job was completed, everything was put back perfectly in place and the condition of my property outside, similar to the inside of my home, was left spotless and without any errant nails. I would give Orlando and Skylight Roofing and Restoration 10 stars if possible. Look no further if you are considering replacing your roof.

We recently had our roof and several skylights replaced and are very pleased with the job done by Mauricio and team! From the beginning they were very detailed and organized with their proposal and Mauricio was there every step of the way to make sure we had all of our questions answered. They scheduled the job immediately and the finished product looks amazing. The crew went above and beyond expectations and even patched a broken board on our deck as a courtesy (broken by a storm the week prior, not by them)! Great experience overall and I would highly recommend the team at Skylight Roofing!

Mauricio of Skylight Roofing recently completed a project of replacing 8 skylights for me. I can't say enough about the excellence of the experience. Product is exceptional quality but the service provided by Mauricio and his team was just so outstanding. I highly recommend Skylight Roofing! They did a fabulous job replacing my dad’s roof. Upon meeting Orlando he explained the process and left me samples to ensure color was in line with current roof shingles. He also assisted with the HOA when I was having difficulty getting a hold of them to make sure we were following the complex protocols. Orlando made sure to communicate from the onset of the project through completion. His team arrived early and worked well into late day. Upon completion they used a magnetic roller to pick up all nails from around entire home. And when they left there was no indication they were ever there except for a beautiful new roof. I would highly recommend Sky light roofing!

I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for Skylight Roofing Company who recently completed work on my roof. Orlando's commitment to excellence was evident from the start. During the initial estimate, he provided a comprehensive assessment of the necessary work and patiently addressed all my inquiries. His clear and open communication style made it easy to understand the project's timeline, progress updates, and any unforeseen challenges that arose. I was consistently impressed by his prompt responses and professional demeanor. The team of workers who carried out the roofing tasks were equally remarkable. The level of detail they maintained throughout the project was exceptional, resulting in a precise and well-executed roof repair and replacement. They diligently cleaned up any debris and materials on a daily basis, leaving my property neat and tidy. Their professionalism and respect for my property were evident in their meticulous cleanup efforts.

We recently had our entire roof replaced and had a fantastic experience. Carlos of Skylight Roofing and Restoration was professional throughout the whole process — he showed up when he said he would, communicated clearly, and his crew did excellent work. The cleanup after the job was impressive; you'd never know they were there. Best of all, the new roof comes with a 50-year warranty, which speaks to the quality of the materials and installation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carlos and Skylight Roofing and Restoration to anyone in need of roofing work.

We were referred by our neighbors on the same street to replace our 22-year-old roof. It was during the supposedly busy season in New Jersey (late fall and early winter) but initial inspection was quickly done on the same day when we called with thorough details. They offered the same installed price per sq ft across our neighbors and we think it was fairly reasonable for New Jersey where labor costs are often higher than the national averages. The materials seem on the premium side as well. So, we decided to use them. Carlos, who managed the entire project, did a great job communicating and coordinating. He brought a crew of 9 and finished the project (>4000 sq ft roof area) within 1.5 days. We are completely satisfied with the installation process itself. We cannot comment on warranty, follow-up communication etc. as we just had the roof installed. We'll come back to update the review if we experience anything negative in the near future (hopefully not!).

After shortly moving into our home, our skylight started leaking in our bathroom. I did alot of research and had multiple estimates to ensure we would have it replaced by a reputable company. Mauricio came out and was wonderful providing a fair estimate - he did a thorough inspection and also shared our attic fan was broken and degrading and was causing water staining in our attic. His team was punctual, clean, communicative and when we had questions after the job was done about the shingles/flashing, his team provided feedback and Mauricio came out again to inspect everything to make sure it was installed properly. We received all our warranty paperwork right away. Highly recommend!!

I could not have been happier with the job done by Sky Light Roofing and especially their representative Orlando. He did an exceptional job working with me and making me comfortable with the entire project. His skilled team of workers showed up on time completed their work as promised and cleaned up after themselves like true professionals. I was so impressed with what he did and the way I was treated that as soon as the project was done, I enlisted him to do the roof on a second home that I own. Honesty Integrity Quality workmanship. And a competitive price. That’s what I got and I couldn’t be happy.

We are so happy with our four new replacement skylights. Mauricio looked at our 25 year old skylights, explained what should be done, gave us an estimate and we had four new skylights installed three days later. It took them five hours and Chris and his team did a beautiful job. No mess, no problems and two very happy customers. Thank you for no headaches.
Where we work
Two towns in one: 1990s and 2000s subdivisions, and old village farmhouses under the Sourland ridge.
The biggest township we cover. Streets built in one go, so roofs here tend to fail in clusters.
The most homes of any town we cover, and the worst Ida damage. Ridge wind on one side, river flooding on the other.
Our second office is here. The Watchung ridge splits the township, and it decides which risk your roof faces.
Five villages and forty one square miles, built in waves from 1957 onward. Flat ground, so nothing shelters a roof from the wind.
The oldest housing we work on, under the heaviest tree cover. Historic district rules apply in parts of town.
Flat, open and built for commuters since the 1970s. Wind has a clear run, and the Millstone corridor floods.
Basking Ridge and Liberty Corner farmsteads on one side, 1,800 acres of townhouses at The Hills on the other.
Long, narrow and rural, wrapped by three rivers. Mostly built between 1970 and 2000.
A Turnpike era township: post war subdivisions around a river mill village that predates them by two centuries.
Forty seven square miles running from Somerset down the Millstone valley to Franklin Park and Kingston.
Where Edison built the first research lab in the world, wrapped in post war streets that are now on their second roof.
Not one town but a dozen villages grown together: Mercerville, Hamilton Square, Yardville, Groveville and White Horse.
One of the oldest townships in the state, built out in post war blocks that now age street by street.
Split levels from the 1950s and 60s, then Twin Rivers in 1970 — the first planned community in New Jersey.
Plus the surrounding Central New Jersey towns. Not sure if we cover you? Ask us, the answer is usually yes.
Yes. We inspect the roof, document what we find with photos, and give you a written assessment at no cost. You decide what happens next. There is no obligation and no pressure to book work.
Yes, and it happens often. Industry inspection data shows that most roofs called ready for replacement can actually be repaired and serve for years more. If a repair is the smarter move, that is what we recommend, in writing.
Most asphalt shingle replacements on single family homes in our area land between $10,000 and $24,000 depending on roof size, complexity, material choice and tear off conditions. We publish a full cost guide and always provide itemized quotes so you can compare line by line.
Yes. NJ insurers are increasingly reviewing roof age and requiring inspections before renewing policies. We provide a photo documented roof condition assessment you can submit to your carrier. Many age related issues resolve with documentation or a targeted repair rather than a full replacement.
Yes, it is in our name. We install, replace and repair skylights, including VELUX units with solar blinds, as part of roof projects or on their own. Because we are roofers first, the flashing integration is done as part of the roof system, which is where most skylight leaks start.
We work from two offices and serve Montgomery, Hillsborough, Bridgewater, Warren, South Brunswick, Princeton, West Windsor, Bernards, Branchburg, East Brunswick, Franklin Township, Edison, Hamilton, Piscataway and East Windsor, plus the surrounding Central New Jersey towns.
Yes. We offer financing options for roof replacements and larger projects, with a quick application you can complete online or at the kitchen table.
Yes, Skylight Roofing and Restoration is a licensed and insured New Jersey contractor with local crews and two physical offices you can visit.
A free inspection, a written report with photos, and a clear recommendation. No pressure, no surprise sales pitch.
